AOD VALVE BODIES
Zf4hp24 Valve Body Manual Download
All of Silverfox Performance Transmission's AOD valve bodies are complete and ready to install. They come boxed with a new filter and gaskets, as well as simple instructions to guide you. All that you need is time, a torque wrench, a few tools, and your choice of ATF. All automatic shifting valve bodies are also boxed with a new updated Ford 2-3 accumulator piston.
Every valve body is modified by Silver Fox Performance Tranmission for your application. No off the shelf shift kits here!
Standard Modifications Include:

- Very firm shifts with traction loss (500-800 rpm+ over stock stall - firmest stage suggested for lockup converters)
- Consistently firm shifts through throttle range with traction loss (non-lock converters, 3k+ stall)
- Race calibration - consistently firm shifts through throttle range with traction loss, MAC or MVB only (non-lock only, 3k+ stall)

SPT-1
The SPT-1 is the original Silverfox valve body. It is the first step to solving the annoying AOD shift overlap, early shit points, and sloppy or erratic shift firmness levels. The SPT-1 has been a huge success.

SPT-1CP (constant pressure)
This is Silver Fox Performance Transmissions version of the 'other guy's' popular CONSTANT PRESSURE valve body available all over the net. This valve body incorporates every advantage of the original SPT1 series and simply has constant pressure that eliminates pressure modulation from the TV circuit. If you hate the TV cable or are down-right scared of it – this VB is for you! You can be assured that years of experience as AOD gurus, this valve body will outperform any others.
*Please note this valve body does not eliminate the use of the TV cable. The cable MUST STILL BE USED and functioning properly so the valve body can receive feedback from throttle position to maintain shift points. No one can make the claim it will eliminate the cable and still shift full-auto.

SPT-R (w/OD Lock-out)
The SPT-R takes all the advantages of the SPT-1 Series valve body and adds an overdrive lock-out feature. This is the most versatile valve body in the Silverfox lineup! The shift pattern is altered so that the user can command each gear separately, and uses a solenoid for overdrive engagement. No more '1-D-1 Shuffle'!!! It can be shifted manually or left in D to shift on its own. Unit includes the wire harness. A switch kit is not included.

SPT-MAC (constant pressure)
The MAC valve body is a CONSTANT PRESSURE version of the SPT-R with the overdrive lock-out feature for 500+ hp use. The shift pattern is altered so that the user can command each gear separately, and uses a solenoid for overdrive engagement. No more '1-D-1 Shuffle'!!! It can be shifted manually or left in D to shift on its own. Unit includes the wire harness. A switch kit is not included.

Overdrive is operated with a solenoid.

What Is A Transmission Valve Body
SPT-RMVB or SPT-RMVB-TB (reverse pattern) with or w/o Transbrake
The Reverse pattern AOD MVB is exclusive to Silverfox Performance Transmission. Developed for off-road competition, but has its place in drag racing applications too. If you need the quick change from R-N-1 or the added safety of pulling down away from neutral this is the VB you want. The SPT-RMVB is a 100% full manual shift valve body that requires NO TV CABLE! It has instant shifts on your command! It is Dan's own design and comes in race calibration only. Overdrive is operated with a solenoid. Available with transbrake. Like all SPT transbrake valve bodies, reverse does not require the TB button and is only active in manual 1st.

SPECIAL REQUEST ONLY
The SPT-4R1 valve body is the first step to transforming any 4R70W into a street happy transmission. Each unit eliminates excessive shift overlap or flare and sloppy or erratic shift firmness levels.
Modifications include increased base line pressure, full time torque converter charge, constant cooler flow, and custom separator plate modifications. Each unit is built to match the needs of your vehicle electronics. BOLT IN AND GO!
Let us know some specifications and how you plan on using the vehicle. We will gladly suggest the proper calibration.
The SPT-4R1 can support applications up to 500hp.
Silverfox Performance Transmission will suggest accessories with the valve body sale based on year/make/model where applicable.

SPT-4R MAC
The MAC is a constant pressure version of the 4R-1. The unit still uses the EEC/PCM to control the shift, but the pressure modulation circuit is disabled in favor of fixed line pressure. Tune work for pressure is eliminated. This valve body can be calibrated for street/hot rod, or race. Fits AODE and 4R70W.

3. Using tool LRT-44-005, remove and discard
seals from gearbox casing.
Refit
1. Clean gearbox casing, springs and circlips.
2. Fit new seals using tool LRT-44-005, ensure
seals are fully seated.
3. Position springs in their correct locations and
secure with circlips.
4. Fit valve body assembly.
